Cherry telling her boy to be good
Cosmos is on his way home -- Cherry was determined to get in the picture with him. She's such a good mama.
Our babies have grown up :))
Lucy is the first one to leave -- the Good-Bye pictures are on the Nursery tab of the website -- we'll update them as the puppies leave with their families -- she'll be close enough to us to come back and visit! She has a "stay at home" mom ready to spoil her -- already have big plans to attend puppy school.

Date(s) to Remember
The puppies have their vet appointment for their first set of shots on November 29th -- That is also the day they turn 8 weeks old.
I want them to stay with me at least until the next day - just in case someone has a reaction. This absolutely should not happen. Years ago everyone gave puppy shots at 6 weeks of age. Now, the protocol (atleast mine and my vet) is to wait as close to 8 weeks of age as possible. This gives their little bodies a chance to mature more. I was watching Animal Planet on t.v. last week and was horrified to hear of pups getting their shots at 4 weeks - cannot imagine it.
This means I can let pups go on November 30th (Friday) if that fits your schedule better. It would have to be after 1:00 p.m. (I only have 1/2 vacation day left for the year).
I am willing to drive and meet anyone who needs me to with their puppy. Of course, Cherry would come along too -- I am hesitant to offer this - I don't want anyone to feel I have something to hide here other than a messy house!
Additional Information:
We are currently feeding Purina Pro Chicken/Rice (available at Pet stores and Tractor Suppy -- not your grocery store) -- you can feed your pup whatever you like - I recommend a high-end puppy food. If you are changing, I will send puppy food home with you so that you can change their diet slowly.
Puppies were wormed at (Vetinarinarians' Association Guidelines)

6 weeks and counting
I can't tell you how fast they are growing - maturing. Mother nature is so amazing. Six weeks ago I was checking to make sure everyone nursing - making sure Cherry didn't lie down on one them. Tonight I just watched them eat their supper (dry puppy food) on their own, get a big drink of water and crash down for a big nap -- All of that happened in six short weeks.
We've been able to get them outside for a short period each day this week. They're exploring more and more. And, yes - they can run -- not always in a straight line, but they make me hustle!
Pictures will be posted on Saturday --

5 Weeks old today
Sorry no pictures tonight - the pups have had a busy week. They've been out of their crate every night - I guess you could call them field trips - they love the living room - lots of places to investigate. The mud room isn't as much fun - but still a new experience.
Mother Nature is promsing warmer weather this weekend, and they'll be headed outside. Then that field trip will become their favorite! So much to learn, and so little time left with us. I can't believe they are 5 weeks old already!
