Remember Mr. Skunk?
Typically, I don't worry much about skunks through the winter months. I just don't think they are as active in the colder climate.
I was walking in the backyard today and caught a wiff of that all too familiar scent - skunk. He was long gone but the smell remained. This prompted me to share - "BEST SKUNK ODOR REMOVAL FORMULA" recipe that a friend shared with me. It's only a few ingredients and not hard to remember -- worth taking a look at -- maybe it will save you and your 4-legged kids from being "skunked".
1 quart Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
Dawn Dish Soap
Mix all ingredients together with enough water to get it sudsy. Work into the dogs fur (works best if the dog is dry) -- leave on as long as possible for best odor removal then rinse. There's nothing toxic here so you could repeat the process of necessary (the old tomato juice remedy mostly turns your dog pink!)

A picture of Birdie's little girl
The tri colored pup above is one of Birdie's pups from last fall. Doesn't she look snug in her little bed -?

New pictures from Friday, Jr
Notice how smart my family is - a little plastic on the carpet goes a long way when you're worried about muddy paws!
I recommend hardwood in the rest of the house --
And if all else fails, my dad will carry me wherever I need to go - I am the pampered boy.
